Introduction

Materials Academy, JITRI vigorously shapes an industrial technology innovation system with the deep integration of industry, university, research and application, and creates an innovation ecology including talent ecology. Around industrial demands, new mechanisms and new resources are introduced in discipline setting, training methods, course arrangement, mentor recruitment, evaluation system and other aspects, to effectively improve the quality of talent training and the ability to solve practical problems. We have signed joint training agreements with 22 departments from 18 universities including Harbin Institute of Technology, Chongqing University, Nanjing Tech University, Xi’an Jiaotong-liverpool University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and University of Science and Technology Beijing. The number of jointly trained postgraduates has exceeded 600.

In order to further explore new outstanding engineers training modes fit for the new era, we plan to establish JITRI Tech on the basis of our earlier JITRI postgraduates training work. JITRI Tech will adopt a new training mode featuring "non-whole process, industry-education fusion", effectively integrate innovation elements of the whole society, and carry out talent training, technology innovation, achievements commercialization and enterprise incubation. The academy will strive to build an ecosystem of talent training and science and technology industrial innovation that is dominated by the government, led by industries, supported by universities, participated in by multiple subjects, operated by entities and optimized by the market.

Mission:Innovate the system of "government-industry-university-research" collaborative education, improve students' international vision, humanistic sentiments, team spirit and ability to solve practical problems and serve national and regional sustainable development!

Vision:：To train students to be patriotic and dedicated international leaders who can advance the progress of human civilization, and build JITRI Tech into a frontrunner and preferred partner of "government-industry-university-research" collaborative education in China!

Duty:

● Responsible for government-industry-university-research collaborative postgraduate education, research and management;

● A Suzhou education base of graduate schools of materials at home and abroad, which conducts cooperation with JITRI, SZL and regional enterprises;

● Plan and organize the "JITRI Postgraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition", cultivate students who are "bold to try and able to innovate", and foster quality projects;

● Organize summer camps for excellent undergraduates from domestic universities to provide exchange platforms for exam-free students and universities;

● A pre-internship base for CO-OP enterprises of domestic material universities, to unblock students' internships;
